From Turkey: EKA: Women Want Revolution!

On March 8, International Working Women’s Day, the March 8 Women’s Platform, which includes Working Women (EKA), held a “Great Women’s Gathering” in Kadıköy, Istanbul.


Thousands of women marched to İskele Square with banners and slogans. Throughout the march, slogans such as “Jin, Jiyan, Azadî” (“Woman, Life, Freedom”) and “Long Live March 8” were chanted.


EKA marched with a banner reading “Women Want Revolution!” and wearing red bandanas. EKA women also participated in March 8 marches in the provinces of Ankara, Izmir, Antakya, and Eskişehir.

EKA declared, “We rise up against scarcity, poverty, exploitation, and violence!” They chanted the slogans of struggle, the fight, the struggle, the fight, and the struggle— March 8th for your life, our birthday is a great friend! You can see more photos and videos below:
